It can be played on any drum, ranging high to low. The four parts can be doubled, tripled or added to infinitely to cater for any size ensemble.
For example an ensemble setup might look like this:
Percussion 1 – Highest pitched drum
Percussion 2 – Medium high pitched drum
Percussion 3 – Medium low pitched drum
Percussion 4 – Lowest pitched drum
